About the Whisky Show

The Whisky Show was founded by The Whisky Exchange and GW Publishing in November 2009, and has run two highly successful events.

 

This year, however, TWE has split from GW Publishng and The Whisky Exchange is hosting its own Show.

 

We have selected Vinopolis, adjacent to the UK’s greatest food market, as an ideal venue for an event of this nature. Once again we will be offering a very special premium tasting event in a venue of outstanding architectural interest.

 

The Whisky Exchange has a permanent retail shop in Vinopolis where customers will be able to buy the exclusive premium malts offered for tasting by the various exhibitors.

 

 

• This year the Show will have an enhanced food offering organised by renowned whisky and food writer Martine Nouet. Martine will be overseeing the Show Brasserie, where visitors will be treated to a hearty two-course meal.

The Show Brasserie will be situated in Vinopolis’s wonderful Mezzanine room, a large space in the eaves of the building featuring original brickwork and a high, wooden-beamed ceiling dotted with skylights to let in plenty of natural daylight.

• Martine will also be working with Show exhibitors to provide a top-class Whisky & Food Pairing experience for visitors using delicious tasting samples from the nearby Borough Market.

This part of the Show has proven hugely popular at our previous events, and this year the Show will be taking food-matching to a new level in the beautiful surroundings of Vinopolis’s Academia room to broaden the appeal of this great concept even further.


•The area around Vinopolis is rich in cultural attractions and things to do, with Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the London Dungeon, Tate Modern, Tower Bridge and London’s culinary hub the Borough Market all within a short walk of the venue. The proximity of London Bridge station will make getting to and from the Show extremely convenient for all our visitors.
